Becky and Ernie Brock are active performers, teachers, and recording artists in Lynn Haven, Florida. They are well known for their numerous arrangements and transcriptions of music for the lever (or pedal) harp and flute published by their company, Arriere-Cour Productions. Their harp and flute collections range from wedding, holiday, and occasional selections. The Brocks have performed in numerous recitals along the Gulf Coast of Florida and Alabama and have presented workshops for the harp community.
I purchased this book to use with my sister, who happens to be a much better flutist than I am a harpist. The arrangements are lovely and done in a more classical style than most lever harp arrangements. Being generally accustomed to folk and Celtic music, etc., it has taken me longer than usual to get the hang of the pieces (I've gotten through 2 or 3 at this point) to an extent where I can play them with sis without her hitting me over the head with her flute in frustration. In the end, though, the sound is quite sophisticated (would definitely be suitable for public performance), and my sister enjoys the flute parts as well.
