Together these two outstanding harpists (and good friends) are a blast! Don't miss what promises to be a fun and unpredictable evening of jazz, classical and popular music on two pedal harps.
Paul Baker
received a Bachelor of Music from Seattle Pacific University and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Accompanying from the University of So. Calif. He was principal harpist with the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra, the Peninsula Symphony, the Marina Del Rey-Westchester Orchestra, the Burbank Chamber Orchestra and has played with the Pacific Symphony, Opera Pacific Orchestra, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Pantages Theatre and the American Ballet Theater Orchestra. Paul is a two-time winner in the International Pop and Jazz competitions. In 1995 he was chosen Los Angeles' "Music Director of the Year."
Ellie Choate took her Bachelors at CSU Fresno CA, and Masters in Harp Performance at CSU Long Beach CA. Ellie is currently the Pacific Regional Director of the American Harp Society. In addition to her performance schedule, Ellie is on the adjunct applied music faculty at University College, Irvine, California. Ellie is a regular performer with the Welsh Choir of Southern California.
