New Live Concert DVD and CD by Deborah Henson-Conant
Deborah Henson-Conant is the most dynamic harpist on today's harp scene. In her new DVD, Invention & Alchemy, Deborah leads you on a tour through her madcap imagination, telling the tallest of truthful tales. With her solid-body electric lever harp and her electric pedal harp, Deborah wails to the blues, sways to a sweet song, and jives to flamenco. |
15.7 Very Best Reasons Why You Must Have Deborah Henson-Conant's New "Invention & Alchemy" DVD
-
You've been searching for a DVD of a live harp performance. Well, here it is! And it's the best 97-minute live harp performance to emerge in a long time -- if ever! With all the extras, you'll have 145 minutes of pure entertaining enjoyment!
-
A "One-Woman Show with a Cast of 80." Not only is Deborah featured in this entertaining DVD, but you also get the Grand Rapids Symphony, as well! This show includes talented orchestra members the way a movie includes actors. A symphony orchestra dressed in lab coats!? You have got see it!
-
This is no homemade video made by a guy standing in the corner with a cam-corder on a stick. It is a highly professional, exquisitely lighted, filmed, and edited masterpiece. Directed by Emmy Award-winner Bob Comiskey, this live concert DVD was shot in high-def video with 9 cameras. The audio was recorded in 5.1 surround sound by Grammy Award-winning engineer Tom Bates.
- Many of Deborah's beautiful melodies are included. You can learn these pieces yourself from some of Deborah's published sheet music, like Nataliana and The Nightingale.
- There's Deborah's great birthday song that you can sing for your friends -- and even for yourself!
-
More cool extras! Besides the live show, there's an 18-minute "behind-the-scenes" film with interviews, rehearsal takes, and musical excerpts.
- Deborah's new DVD will make you laugh. It will make you cry, you'll be singing along. It's romantic. It's moving. It's bigger than life. It's intimate. It's silly. (O.K., so technically, this is 8 reasons...).
The Only Reason We Can Think NOT to Have This DVD...
You don't have a DVD player, and you don't know anyone on the planet who has a DVD player, and you never plan to ever see a DVD or a DVD player, ever, ever, ever for the rest of your life.
ever...

Print Orchestral Harp Parts From Your Own Computer
Imagine having the harp parts for the major orchestral harp works just a mouse-click away. With The Orchestra Musician's CD-ROM Library you can print the same orchestral harp parts that are available from publishers from your own computer! Works are viewable and printable on either PC or Macintosh via the program Abode Acrobat Reader, which is included on the CD-ROM. Just put the CD-ROM into the CD drive of your computer, click on the title of the orchestral work, and view and print the PDF files of the harp parts. They can be printed full-size (usually 9 x 12), or use the "fit to page" command in Acrobat to print on letter-size paper. Each volume includes 1 CD-ROM in a booklet which includes the Table of Contents and instructions.
PLEASE NOTE: These are NOT CDs that you listen to: there is no audible music on these CD-ROMs.
This series is available for a variety of instruments. The volumes we offer include the harp and keyboard parts only. There are expected to be 10 volumes in total. Below is currently what is available.
As you are aware, not all orchestral works have harp parts. Therefore, some of the composers listed in the titles of some of the volumes may not actually be included. For example, Volume 1, entitled Beethoven, Schubert and more does not contain any harp parts by those 2 composers, since they did not include harp in their orchestrations. However, this volume does include works by other composers. See each volume on our website for the actual complete contents.

NEW "Easy Decade" Fake Books
This popular series of easy fake books have large notation with simplified harmonies and melodies. As with all fake books, the melody, chord symbols and lyrics are provided, and you make your own arrangements. All of the songs are in the key of C. There will be accidentals in many of the pieces, making lever and pedal changes necessary, causing some pieces to be more difficult, especially for lever harp players. These books are a great way to learn how to use fake books.
Each of these new books includes 100 well-known songs of the decade. |
