Shipping costs

Our shipping costs vary depending upon the weight of your order and the shipping destination.All items are shipped from Southern California. Orders shipping to a delivery address within California are subject to 9.75% California sales tax.

When ordering through our website, you will be given a choice of shipping methods with their costs before we ask for your payment information. You'll see this information on the screen after you enter your address and other customer information. At that time, you may either choose one of the shipping options and proceed through check-out, or change or cancel the order. Your card will not be charged until after you complete the entire check-out process.

Shipping within the USA

You will normally have a choice of either UPS or Postal Service shipping. UPS shipments are trackable and the tracking number will be included in a confirmation e-mail when your order has shipped. Packages shipped through the Postal Service are not trackable.

UPS cannot deliver to a P.O. Box address, so be sure to give us a street address if choosing UPS.

We usually ship items within 24-48 hours. Many orders are shipped the same day we receive the order. However, please be aware that items ordered Friday through Sunday may not ship until Monday or Tuesday (especially UPS orders). Please keep this in mind when requesting rush delivery service.

UPS Next Day Air will arrive from 1 to 3 working days after the day you place your order. UPS 2nd Day Air will arrive from 2 to 4 working days after you place your order. UPS 3 Day Select will arrive from 3 to 5 working days after you place your order.

First Class and Priority Mail are not guaranteed, but should arrive within 5 working days. (During the Christmas rush, it may take a few additional days.)

Customers in Puerto Rico, Guam, and other U.S. Territories should select "United States" as the country in their address.

Harps

Due to fluctuating gas prices, shipping costs for large items, such as harps, are constantly changing. E-mail or call us and we will calculate the shipping costs for you. We do not ship any harps outside of the U.S., except for the Harpsicle series.

Shipping to countries outside of the United States (including Canada)

We ship worldwide using the United States Postal Service. Packages being shipped out of the United States are usually shipped within 2-3 business days. You will see the available shipping methods and shipping prices before we ask for your payment information. At that time, you may either choose one of the shipping options and proceed through check-out, or change or cancel the order. Your card will not be charged until after you complete the entire check-out process.

Due to our sales agreements with manufacturers, we are only allowed to ship electronic products to customers within the U.S.A. We cannot ship them to another country. Please check the individual items for any shipping restrictions. We apologize to our international customers for this inconvenience.

If your online order states shipping as $0.00, or if it says "unable to calculate shipping costs," that means that our website was unable to figure out the correct shipping costs for your order. If this happens, we will calculate the shipping costs AFTER we have received your order, based on what you have purchased and your location. We will then email you with the shipping total and wait for your approval by email before charging your card and shipping your order.

For international orders, The Sylvia Woods Harp Center takes no responsibility for taxes, tariffs, or duties that may be incurred.  There may be an additional charge by your country's customs office when your package arrives.  Unfortunately we have no way of knowing whether this charge will apply, or what it would be if it does.
