Any electronic tuner will work better with an extra microphone or pick-up, instead of just the internal microphone in the tuner itself. The tuner will get a much stronger signal when you pluck a note, making it easier to read. If you’ve ever had trouble tuning in a noisy environment, or if the lights or the meter don’t display long enough for you to read them easily, one of these pick-ups will solve your problems!
This pick-up clips directly onto any metal part of your harp (tuning pin or bridge pin), and picks up the vibrations through the metal. It doesn’t matter which pin you choose, just put it on one and leave it there while you tune all the strings. On some harps, you can clip it to the wood around the holes in the back of the harp. It works great with any of our tuners, and it does NOT need batteries!
(This will not work to amplify a performance. For that purpose, use the Fishman Pick-Up, shown below.)
