For the most accurate intonation, and to avoid unnecessary wear and tear on the strings, pedal harps should always be tuned with the pedals in the flat position. This can be confusing when using most electronic tuners. But with this amazing Boss TU-15 tuner, it’s as easy as pie! Just set the tuner to "1 flat", put your pedals in the highest notch, and tune! Your C string will now register as "C" on the tuner, even though it will actually be tuned to a C-flat. Take our word for it, this works great! Of course, you can use this tuner in the "normal" way, as well. This tuner is easy to read due to its slanted design and back-lit meter, and will tune the entire range of a pedal harp. For those who like to tune by ear, the tuner will play any of the 12 notes in a chromatic scale through the built-in speaker. An innovative feature of this model is called “Accu-Pitch.” When using this optional function, the tuner beeps when the pitch stabilizes within a range of 3 cents of the correct pitch. This beep is the same pitch as the string you’re tuning. (For example, when your G string is in tune, it will beep on a G pitch.)
This 5.75" x 2" x 1.5" tuner turns itself off when there has been no input for 30 minutes. It runs on 2 AA batteries (included), or with the same AC adapter that we sell with our other Boss tuner. There are other cool features for guitar players as well, so this is a great tuner for your entire family!
