Each of the 23 songs (and 51 variations) in the Student's Book have amusing lyrics as a useful memory aid. The music is colorful and creatively displayed with small figures or icons throughout to provide technical and musical reminders. (See the sample partial page below.) The 25-page, fully-illustrated introduction humorously presents the parts of the harp, as well as correct posture, arm, hand and finger position and movement.
The Guide for Teacher and Parents is filled with technical objectives and insights for lessons and practice. It also includes many pictures of hand and body position. This method is aimed toward teachers and parents that want to make technical study available to very young harpists. It is also an attempt to translate the recurring technical terminology into words which will be comprehensible for children and their parents, who may not be experienced musicians. The approach is a combination of teaching technical study along with simple musical themes.
