I can not begin to say how glad I am I purchased this book. I am an adult, begginning my second year playing the harp. If you are interested in Harp history, historical method in addition to technique, this is one of several good, really essential books.
There are 40 progressive etudes at the back of this book, even the first one is pretty enough to play on it's own. In their entirety, they will present years of play, practice, challenge, and perhaps even performance.
In addition to that, in the sections where technique is described, there are often small, two to six measure exercises within the text. There is just so much information here! While this is an older text, it retains it's validity for playing and learning. It is a great supplement to working with your teacher. This is simply a marvelous comprehensive resource material that I will turn to for years to come.
