Ann Heymann has re-edited her original wire-strung harp tutor, and has divided it into two smaller books. Volume 1 is now available, which includes sections especially relevant to the beginner such as: holding the harp, tuning, notation, hand position, sounding the strings, nails, replacing strings, and string problems. Based on the first tunes taught Gaelic harpers in the old tradition, it features exercises and about a dozen arrangements for beginners. 40 pages, spiral-bound. (Volume 2 - not yet available - will contain material for more advanced harpers.)
