The design of the stylized gold harp in this musical snowglobe was inspired by the Art Nouveau movement. Golden wings sprout from the top of the pillar, and the curving lines of the harp are accented with flowing curlicues. When you shake the globe, multi-colored glitter floats around the harp, creating a festive, fairytale ambiance. The base is decorated with renaissance art motifs of angels in shades of soft browns, muted reds and oranges, and rich golds. The wind-up music box in the porcelain base plays Debussy's Clair de lune, and the harp rotates within the globe while the music is playing. This high-quality collectible snowglobe is approximately 6” tall with a 4” diameter glass globe.
Trivia tidbit: The first snowglobe (also called a waterglobe) was
introduced to the public in the 1889 Paris Exposition and depicted the Eiffel Tower!
