This David Watkins suite was awarded first prize in the International Competition for Harp Composition in 1961. The 3 movements that make up this suite can be played separately or as a set. They each depict a story or scene. The Prelude evokes early morning on the Seine river. The Nocturne is about a cloudy countryside at night. Fire Dance depicts the rousing ritual dances of South America, and is an especially impressive recital piece! Pedal markings included. 12 pages. Intermediate pedal harp level. For PEDAL harp only.
