The Welsh harpist John Thomas (1826-1913) composed and arranged many Classical and Welsh works for solo harp. This piece is a theme and 4 variations. Each variation explores a different aspect of playing: 1- and 2- handed arpeggios, harmonics, and a melody among triplets. This piece is great for the beginning pedal harpist because the pedal changes aren't too demanding and it gives the harpist the opportunity to utilize the entire range of the harp. It also requiress the performer to pay special attention to dynamic detail. Pedal markings included. No fingerings. 7 pages. Intermediate pedal harp level.
For PEDAL harp only.
