This masterpiece is superbly crafted, intricately carved and clad in lavish 23+ karat gold leaf. Inspired by the rococo style seen during French King Louis XV's time, the harp conveys a light yet elaborate style of art, incorporating leaves, flowers, scrolled feet and shapes reminiscent of shells. The Louis XV has a double rosewood inlay edging which compliments its solid Sitka Spruce soundboard. It is available with a highly distinguished maple or exotic bubinga veneer. The Louis XV "Special" Concert Grand Harp model also exists, offering additional carving along its neck and kneeblock, as well as intricate carving along the soundboard edges. As a Lyon & Healy Special Instrument, the Louis XV Concert Grand harp includes:
• a unique miniature lasered etching of a Lyon & Healy concert grand action plate design on the inside of the soundboard.
• an exquisite floral trellis design hand-painted on the soundboard using 23+ gold leaf.
• a richly engraved, previously retired front action plate as well as an engraved back plate.
