This fake book by Ray Pool is perfect repertoire for those who wish to play in the hospital / hospice / nursing home environment. As with all fake books, you create your own harp arrangement using the melody and chords provided.
Ray uses a new format of "enhanced lead sheets" which consists of:
Clearly edited melody lines with full fingering
Accompanied by chord inversions within a ten-string range similar to chording on a guitar
Chord inversions are indicated by a second note placed beneath the melody line in a reduced size with its stem pointing down.
Entries are indicated by levels of complexity in the index.
Key signatures are confined to C Major / A minor and G Major / E minor.
Only four entries require lever movements which are clearly marked.
