Straight from the heart of Ireland, this CD is traditional Irish harp music at its finest. It features Celtic harp, but also includes guitar, flute, whistle, bodhrán, and bass. Gaelic group vocals on select tracks enhance the charm of this recording.
Cormac De Barra won first prize in the 1989 all-Ireland harp competition in Dublin, and the O'Carolan Cup in 1990. He began playing harp professionally in March 1990 and spent 6 months in Japan playing at the Irish exhibition at EXPO '90 in Osaka. He also spent 6 months performing at EXPO '92 in Seville, Spain.
