Maria Luisa Rayan was born in Argentina, and began her harp studies at the age of six. She has been a consistent prizewinner at competitions internationally and has been an active ambassador for Latin American music. This dynamic solo classical harp CD features pieces from her native land and incorporates famous tangos into the harp repertoire, such as Piazzolla's Libertango. Six of the selections are by Isaac Albéniz, including Granada, Asturias, and Malagueña. Other composers are Anselmo Aieta, Enrique Granados, Ariel Ramirez, and Jesus Gurid. Add some Latin Fire to your CD collection!
