It is impossible to categorize Rudiger Oppermann’s free-style music. It is an extremely exciting and eclectic mix of Celtic, jazz, rock & roll, Indian, and Asian music; all held together by Rüdiger’s 2 Celtic harps (which he made himself). All of the pieces on Fragile Balance are Rüdiger’s compositions and improvisations, with the exception of his unique rendition of Gershwin’s Summertime. Harpists will especially enjoy his piece entitled Pretty Cool Harmonics! in which the melody consists solely of harmonics.
