Harpist William Jackson, internationally known as a composer of folk and orchestral pieces, has created a new world masterpiece, Inchcolm. Corryvreckan, the first track on this superb CD, features the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, harp, and pipes, and feels like it is straight out of an epic movie soundtrack. Other pieces have equally expressive instrumentation and range from a 13th-century Gaelic chant to a brave, rewarding improvisation of a Kahlil Gibran poem. This is a superb example of innovative harp composition.
