After Hours CD by Lori Andrews: Jazz Harp CDs

After Hours is the newest and the funkiest jazz collaboration between Lori Andrews on electric harp and Bart Samolis on bass. You have to listen to believe! All of these jazz, fusion, and rhythm and blues tunes were written Bart, and include sax, drums, percussion, and other instruments.

A fun aspect of this CD is that Lori has invited two other creative women who are also named Lori Andrews to be a part of this project. Los Angeles artist Lori Andrews painted the cover art, and mystery writer Lori Andrews wrote the liner notes.

A jazz harpist who plays a one-of-a-kind mix of jazz, blues and R&B, Lori Andrews has made numerous appearances on TV and in movies as well as at the top jazz festivals. She has performed for Presidents Clinton and Ford and the King and Queen of Spain, as well as for celebrities ranging from Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra, to Oprah Winfrey and Clint Eastwood. The Lori Andrews JazHarp Quartet plays for the Academy Awards Technical Achievement Division each year, and has been featured at various jazz festivals, including Playboy, Long Beach, Newport Beach, Sacramento and Idyllwild. She has played backup for entertainers ranging from Richard Dreyfuss, and Helen Hunt to Jennifer Garner and Charlize Theron, and has herself appeared in many of films and TV shows, including "Beaches," "The Tonight Show," "Melrose Place," "Drew Carey," "Ally McBeal" and MAD TV.
