This solo harp collection of beloved Irish and Scottish melodies is designed to "calm the body and uplift the spirit." Here's how Sunita describes this CD:
The melodies in 'Sea and Sky' are some of my personal favorites. In this album, I have woven these cherished melodies together with a common thread of simplicity and soothing tempos. I wanted to let the music both breathe and sparkle.
I chose not to play from written arrangements because there is a special energy that comes to life in improvisation.
This album was inspired by my work as a therapeutic musician harpist helped me to become a more sensitive musician. . . . Bringing the harp into the hospitals is rewarding on many different levels. Not only do Israeli hospitals treat Palestinian and Israeli children as equals, but the environment is one of the few places in this country where religious and secular people set aside their differences. Playing the harp in this island of sanity provides me with the gift of renewed spirit and hope.
