This sampler set of 2 CDs includes selections by 21 of the major names in Breton (from Brittany) harp music in the past 50 years. Most of the 30 tracks are solo harp. About half are traditional, and the others are original compositions. Gut-strung, wire-strung, and electric harps are presented in this fascinating and varied collection, along with some harp ensembles. This volume, the first of a planned series
includes two CDs and a 60 page booklet (written in French) in a leather binding. Photos of the performers are included.
