This sampler recording is the soundtrack from the PBS special Celtic Harpestry at Lismore Castle, Ireland. It features Sileas, Maire Ni Chathasaigh, Rudiger Oppermann, Deborah Henson-Conant, Cheryl Ann Fulton, and the Belfast Harp Orchestra.
The ancient qualities of the gut and wire-strung harps along with the more modern sounds of the nylon and electric harps are well represented on this album. Most of the selections are traditional, along with some original compositions by the artists, and My Heart Will Go On from The Titanic.
