Fingernail maintenance is very important to harpists. Players of wire-strung and Paraguayan harps need to keep their nails long and strong. All other harpists keep their nails short so they don’t hit the strings. Either way, manicures are a vital part of every harpist’s routine.
These amazing crystal glass nail files are marvelous for harpists (or for anyone!). Our exclusive files have a teal blue harp painted on the handle, and the filing surface is clear. The small file (3.5” long) is perfect for tucking in a purse, gig bag, or harp case and great for removing cuticles. The 5.5” medium size file is ideal for home manicures.
These sturdy manicure files are guaranteed never to wear out or wear down, and can be used on natural and artificial nails. The ultra smooth surface reduces chipping, peeling and splitting, and won’t tear or harm delicate skin. They are even safe for diabetics and babies. The 180 grit filing surface is non-porous, double-sided and permanently etched into the glass. You can 100% sanitize your file by using UVB light, autoclave or by simply rinsing under a faucet.
The files are made from float glass, the same glass used to produce wine goblets and crystal vases. Although they are not guaranteed against breakage, they are tempered, hardened and 100% stronger than normal glass. Should you drop your file, it is designed to break in a blunt fashion, reducing the risk of injury.
Each file comes in a protective plastic sheath (shown below), and makes a great gift!
