Handel for the Harp book by Rhett Barnwell
NEW! Item: 7097b
Handel for the Harp is a new collection of some of George Frideric Handel's most popular and requested pieces, made accessible for lever or pedal harp by Rhett Barnwell. This collection is invaluable for weddings, worship and concert use, as it contains pieces such as the "Air" and "Hornpipe" from the Water Music, the famous "Largo" from Xerxes (in two versions), two selections from the Messiah, and more. There are also two "lever harp-friendly" arrangements of the first movement from the Harp Concerto in B-flat: one for harps tuned in C, and the other in the original key. The level of difficulty ranges from advanced beginner to advanced intermediate level, and the pieces are arranged in order of difficulty. Very few fingerings are included. The collection also contains biographical notes on Handel, information about the harp in 18th century England, and notes on each of the pieces. 40 pages, spiral bound.
