Saxon Songs for harp and voice by Carol Wood PDF Download

Item #p7681
$18.00

For lever or pedal harp and voice.

Carol Wood has arranged this excellent collection of Anglo-Saxon music for intermediate harp and voice. The tunes are broken up into categories, and are a wonderful example of historical harp music. The feel of the music is sparse, yet very powerful, and would be excellent when used as performance pieces, or simply for your own enjoyment. Chord symbols are included, but no fingerings. The final song requires C#s, the rest of the songs are either in C or 1 sharp.

This collection is also a wealth of information! Included are many notes on the Anglo-Saxons, pronunciations and translations, their poetry, and notes for each of the songs.

This PDF is 86 pages. It includes 58 pages of music and 11 pages of explanaations and documentation. There are also several title pages, and blank pages to facilitate page turns. When printing out this PDF, you might want to only print the pages that you need.

You can listen to Carol Wood performing three of these songs on YouTube:
YouTube: Harp
YouTube: Swan
YouTube: Fingers and Pen
