Very soothing melody and is quickly mastered by advanced beginners. This piece allows the harpist ample room for expression and creativity. In other words, you can play this in public and easily cover up your mistakes!

I've been enjoying this piece. The arrangement is easy enough for me and full of expressive tension and resolve chords. I've even been able to explore the loveliness of the arrangement with my own expressions. Great work Sylvia!

I love this arrangement of The Water is Wide (or O Waly, Waly) from Sylvia Woods, and play it frequently during the prelude at weddings. Each verse is different and progresses in difficulty, so intermediate beginners can play it, as well as more advanced players (all three), or for highly skilled players, it's an easy sight-reading piece for background music.

I have been hired to play background music during the dedication of a "healing garden" at a local hospital. This arrangement will be a perfect addition to my repertoire for the occasion. No pedal or lever changes and the fingering falls easily into the hands. (Review originally submitted 5/8/2010.)
