Harp Description:
Quality construction meets affordability in the Ravenna 34, a portable, stave-back harp designed for the discerning, cost-conscious harp enthusiast who requires a reliable, full-range instrument with a rich, satisfying sound.

Using the same innovative design and construction techniques as the popular Ravenna 26, the Ravenna 34 offers almost five full octaves of distinctive Dusty Strings sound in a very affordable instrument. It has a warm, strong bass balanced by a bright, clear treble, even string tension for precision while playing, and high-quality materials and refined craftsmanship for lasting value. With an array of available options, the Ravenna 34 invites you to thoroughly enjoy exploring a full-range harp.

The stave-back soundbox makes for great playing comfort. Dusty Strings' characteristic bright, full sound, tuning stability, even tension across the strings, and meticulous craftsmanship make the Ravenna 34 a great value, and it has a two-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

An extremely innovative and useful feature of this remarkable harp is the optional drop-down leg, which drops smoothly into place for convenient and adjustable playing support. The harp can be quickly and easily adjusted to your correct playing height, without the hassle of additional legs or stools. With a 20" range of adjustment, the harp can easily be played sitting or standing. The leg easily slides out of the way, back inside the harp, when not in use.

The Ravenna 34 comes with Loveland sharping levers on C, F, and B strings. All the lever holes are pre-drilled, making it easy to add levers at a later date. It can also be ordered with a full set of Loveland levers.

Soundboard: Clear finished laminated European birch.
Neck and Pillar: Solid ash with a black lacquer finish.

Soundbox: Laminated European birch with ash-grained black vinyl veneer.

Standard Black Ravenna:
The basic model now comes with a black back, base, neck, and pillar, and a natural soundboard. Other color options are listed below, and are an additional cost.

Optional Natural:
The Ravenna with a natural wood neck and pillar is now available again for an extra charge of $50.

Optional Colors:
The Ravenna is also available in 2 other colors, for an additional $195. With these options, the soundboard is natural, and the base and the capital (the part at the top of the soundbox) are black. The back, neck, and pillar are the color you choose: burgundy or green. See the photo below.

Included:
• Standard tuning key

Optional Soft Case:
This optional form-fitting, soft-shell case features foam padding, a cordura exterior, zipper closing, a shoulder strap, and a variety of pockets for holding music accessories. It includes D-rings to attach optional backpack straps, which allow the harp to balance comfortably on the back.

Optional Stand:
This black stand is great for people who want a stable base for their Ravenna 34 Harp. It quickly attaches to the harp base with the twist of a knob, raising the harp 5". Made of black lacquered ash, this handy stand easily disassembles for travel. You do not need to remove the built-in harp leg in order to attach this stand. Since all of the Ravenna harps have a black base, this black stand looks great with any of the Ravenna colors. See the photos below.

A good option for a student

I started playing the harp with a 26 string Sharpsicle and was beginning to feel a bit cramped but I still was not in a position to afford a full-size, good-quality harp. The 34 string Ravenna filled my needs perfectly and its reasonable price made it the solution to my problems. The harp has a lovely tone, considering its low price, and it looks beautiful. I've really enjoyed having it. I certainly recommend this harp to anyone on a budget, students who don't want to commit to a full-size harp or anyone who wants an inexpensive but good quality instrument. Between this harp and the Harpsicle line, a beginning harper has a wonderful array of options, no need to settle for a low quality harp. By the way, the customer service was very good and the shipping was very fast. Thanks!

I'd like to express my jubilant appreciation to Sylvia Woods for her utmost customer care. Sylvia made the purchase of my beautiful harp very special. She invited me to her harp showroom and along with other guests she warmly played several harps for our enjoyment and gave us a short history course on the origins of the harp. It was a lovely time. I chose my Dusty Strings Ravena 34 harp based on its crispy clean sound; it is magically uplifting to hear it! I thank Sylvia for her encouragement of my hospital ministry, through her thoughtful generosity.

I purchased this harp 6 years ago to teach on and I love it! Four of my students also have this harp. It is good quality and has a great sound. Last year, a couple of the strings were buzzing and I called Dusty Strings. They were very kind and helped me figure out what was wrong and gave me clear instructions on how to fix it. It was very easy to fix after talking to them and I have not had any problems since.
