For lever or pedal harp.

Joyce Rice has arranged this medley of 6 traditional Scottish songs for 2 harps: Wi' a Hundred Pipers, Annie Laurie, Hail to the Chief, John Anderson My Jo, The Campbells are Comin' and Loch Lomond. Each tune is written to segue into the next, making it a very nice recital piece. The medley modulates between the key of C and one and two sharps. There are a few lever changes required in both parts. In the student part, these changes are easy, and occur between the pieces.

The teacher part is written in the spirit of parlor music of a century ago. It is lush and arpeggiated, easily sight read by the advanced harpist, and of intermediate difficulty.

The easy student part compliments the teacher part and can be played on either lever or pedal harp. It consists mainly of the melody with single notes in both hands, no chords, with some drones in the left hand. The right hand plays quite high, so a knowledge of notes above the treble staff is necessary. There are also some scale passages. Dynamics and fingerings are marked.

The second page of the PDF includes extensive information about the selections which can be used as an introduction before performing them.

This PDF includes a 6-page student part, an 11-page score, and one page of performance notes.
