Item #p7255
$20.00

For lever or pedal harp.

Sharon Thormahlen has arranged a collection of 18 traditional tunes and music written by composers in the 17th and 18th centuries, including Turlough O'Carolan, Jeremiah Clarke, John Hill, Johann Pachelbel, Thomas O'Conellan, and Robert Joseph Lowe. She's also included her original composition, The Bard in the Parlor, with fun lyrics.

The arrangements are suitable for beginners and intermediate players. There are seven tunes in C or A minor, seven tunes in G or E minor (one sharp), and five tunes in D (2 sharps). An Ayre has two G# lever changes within the music. Chord symbols are included, but no fingerings.

Miss MacDermott, Garryowen, and King William's March have optional "Harp 2 harmony parts" that can be played by a second harpist or another musician.

This 58-page PDF includes 48 pages of music. Sharon has also included historical information about each piece. The cover art was painted by harpist Deb Knodel.

Sharon and her husband Dave play some of the music from this PDF in the video below, recorded at a 2024 house concert in Portland, Oregon. The music starts about 5 minutes into the video.
