For pedal harp only.

Choral Repertoire: Harp Parts, compiled and edited by Jacqueline Pollauf, is a collection of complete harp parts from seven choral works. The book includes music from six standard choral pieces as well as Pollauf's own transcription of a piece by Lili Boulanger. The parts have not been simplified for ease of playing, but each part is re-notated with modern notation and includes helpful harp-specific information: pedal markings, cues, enharmonic equivalents, and some suggested fingerings. Page layouts have been carefully optimized for page turns. A textual introduction is also provided for each part with background information and performance notes. This collection is an excellent resource for harpists, from students to professionals, in learning, rehearsing, and performing these works.

A much needed contribution to the harp community.

This publication fills a significant void in the harp world. Many have realized the musical (foremost) and visual (bonus) benefits to including the harp to dramatically enhance choral music. Jacqueline Pollauf has thought of and included all details including fascinating program notes, notations and annotations. She also thought to strategically place blank pages in a few spots to allow for ideal page turns when new pieces begin. These details are things that only a well-seasoned professional harpist would think to offer. The notes are crisp and clear, the pedal charts are judiciously offered (and appreciated), the dynamics and pedal changes are also clearly marked. I can only imagine the labor of love and legacy that went into this much needed contribution to the harp world.

This is a wonderful compilation of important music needed by all harpists. I am grateful that Ms. Pollauf took the time to make these parts easily playable and accessible to all of us. Michelle Lundy

Jacqueline Pollauf has created an essential resource that gives choral repertoire the spotlight it deserves. While harp education often leans heavily toward orchestral excerpts, there is also very rewarding professional work performing with choirs. This publication bridges that gap perfectly. The notation is very clear, and the layout shows a deep understanding of the practicalities a professional harpist faces in these settings. It's a thoughtful, much-needed contribution to the harp community that I'm excited to have in my library.
