For lever or pedal harp.

Dona Nobis Pacem is Latin for Grant Us Peace. This lovely traditional canon or round has been arranged by Deborah Friou for solo harp and also for harp ensemble of two or three harps. Deborah has added a second canon, a variation on the original, to the ensemble version. The "first harp" part is written in the bass, the "second" in the mid range, while the "third" is in the treble end. Advanced beginners can play just the right hand if necessary. For intermediate to advanced players. Key of G. 8 pages.

Beautiful trio and solo

I learned this with my two friends (the trio version, obviously!). We loved the nice, calming feel of the song. We didn't realize it was a round, so we were a little confused when we didn't all end at the same time, but we figured it out. :-) The nice thing about this arrangement is that the 3rd harp part is played all in the treble clef, making it easy to play with a smaller harp. I had a 27-string harp at the time and it was SO nice not to have to transpose lower notes up to fit on the harp. I found that I actually like the 2nd harp part alone, better than the arrangement written as a solo. It is more full, flowing and fun to play, so consider trying that out if you're planning to play this piece solo! This is a lovely piece and is a worthwhile addition to your repertoire. Not too hard, but not too easy either!"
