Known in hymnals as "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel," I previously arranged this classic hymn tune for the Advent and Christmas season in a fairly straightforward manner. In this new arrangement for 2024, I drew inspiration from the hymn's medieval roots, as it was originally a Gregorian chant. This setting comprises three variations, each with a distinct "flavor." It begins with an ancient, medieval style and progresses to a more contemporary feel, with classical elements incorporated along the way. It is in the key of A minor and is designed at the intermediate level. It can be played by pedal or lever harpists with only a few G# accidentals.
