For lever or pedal harp.
This is an excellent collection of some of the most famous Renaissance compositions from England, France Flanders, Italy and Spain. Robin Fickle has included many of John Dowland's most celebrated pieces for the lute as well as folk songs, rounds, ballads and songs of courtly love by other renowned composers. Most of these pieces have never before been arranged for harp. These elegant arrangements are for the intermediate to advanced level player. Most are written in the keys of G, C, D and F and a couple are in B flat and A. Where key changes occur both pedal and lever harp markings are clearly indicated and a few fingerings are noted. The PDF includes informative biographies of composers and anecdotal notes on the compositions. 39 pieces, 82 pages of music. The PDF is 93 pages.
Here's an excerpt from John Wickey's review of this book in the Nov-Dec 2013 issue of The Harp Column magazine.
" With titles like "My Lady Hunsdon's Puffe," "Of all the Birds That I Doe Know," "John Come Kisse Me Now," and the like, I could do nought better than grab a tankard of ale and my lever harp and pretend I was a minstrel for an hour our two (in the privacy of my own home).
Robin has done a remarkable job with her collection. The arrangements are rich and the selections interesting. The arranger provides composer biographies, notes about the pieces, but most importantly, she includes suggestions for tempi and dynamics which make it much easier to shake the dust off the manuscript and bring the tunes to life."
