For lever or pedal harp.

Here's how Diana Stork describes this collection for beginning harp students.
This delightful book of first pieces for the harp includes my original compositions and etudes, as well as my arrangements of world music, lullabies, rounds, songs for the winter holidays, and a lovely Renaissance Spring song. I've included a variety of fingerings for the beginning harpist to try. In my experience, fingering is very personal, and I assume fingerings will be changed by the teacher as needed.

All the pieces in this book are in the key of C and are especially well-suited to being played on the 26-string Harpsicle® Harp. They can be easily adapted for harps with less than 26 strings and can be played on any harp that can be tuned to the key of C.

This book is not intended to be a "how to play the harp" book. It's a wonderful collection of fun and easy tunes to accompany one's harp studies. The pieces are progressive - from very simple to more challenging. Some basic music elements, such as dynamics and harmonics, are also introduced.

This collection includes my students' favorite pieces over the years--the ones they played and loved the most, and years later, they are now teaching their own students.

This 27-page PDF includes 23 songs, each 1/2 page to 1 page long. All of the pieces are in the key of C, so no sharping levers are required.

She has also included two "Play-along Stories" with paragraphs about each piece. She writes: A nice way to finish each section of this book is to play the pieces you've learned in a story. Someone (a teacher, parent, sister or brother, friend, or relative) can read while you play the pieces on your harp.

Amazing Songs for Beginning Harpists

The songs in this book are absolutely delightful! I have been using this book for years with my young students. I almost always start a child's first harp lesson with 'Fairy Door,' and then progress on to 'Dragon Kite,' and the other pieces. My students feel proud of themselves for learning songs right away, which keeps them motivated to continue learning. But these songs aren't just for first-time students -- children frequently want to return to these songs over and over and add elements to the songs as they progress as musicians. This is absolutely a must-have book for beginning harp students!
