For PEDAL harp only.
Among the most popular pieces for harp, this concerto was composed by George Frederick Handel (1685-1759) in 1736. It was written for orchestra and the modern harp of its day: the single action harp. Since then, this piece has been transcribed for many difficulty levels for both pedal and lever harp, each generally coming with its own original cadenza. The three movements are: Andante Allegro, Larghetto, and Allegro moderato.
We are selling two pedal harp transcriptions of this well-loved piece: this one by Salzedo and another by Grandjany.
This transcription, for harp alone or harp with orchestra, includes Salzedo's 36-measure cadenza marked espressiva. It includes fingering, muffling, and pedal indications. Advanced pedal harp level. 17 pages.
