The Harper's Accomplice Gets the Lute by Ellen Tepper PDF Download

Item #p7732
$12.00

For lever or pedal harp.

Ellen Tepper has arranged this fine collection of historical 17th century lute music for both lever and pedal harp. The pieces were composed early in the 1600's as dance music. Ellen has arranged the 6 pieces to be played together as a suite. (Of course, you can play them individually if you'd like!)

Four of the pieces are by composer Nicolas Vallet. Little is known of him, except that he was French by birth, and lived in exile in Amsterdam as did many French protestants (Huguenots). He taught lute and ran a dancing school.

Each piece has two arrangements by Ellen; one for lever harp and another for pedal harp. The lever harp arrangements are in the first half of the PDF, and the pedal harp arrangements begin on page 15. The lever harp arrangements have some fingerings, the pedal harp arrangements have no fingerings. The music is of F (1 flat). There are a significant amount of both lever changes and pedal changes, which are marked in the music. For intermediate level players.

The PDF is 26 pages, including some fun illustrations by Ellen.

This is wonderful music to add to your repertoire!
