For lever or pedal harp.
Coventry Carol tells the story of Herod's slaughter of the innocents. Evelyn Tiffany-Castiglioni's intermediate solo harp arrangement captures the exquisite poignancy of this 16th century carol. It is technically simple yet very rewarding to play with stark chords, spare harmonies, and a variation in in which the melody is whispered in 4-note arpeggios. It is presented in two keys. The A minor version has G#s that are pre-set at the beginning. The G minor version (2 flats) has pre-set F#s. No lever or pedal changes are required within the music. Fingerings and brackets are provided throughout. Playable on a 30-string lever harp or pedal harp. Each arrangement is 2 pages long for intermediate players.
