For lever or pedal harp.
The Two Handel Favorites in this collection are:
Pastoral Symphony from "Messiah", and
Theme from the Harp Concerto in Bb, Op. 4, No. 6, HWV 294.
Here's how Deborah describes this collection:
These arrangements are designed for the late-beginner to intermediate level of performance and are appropriate for harps with two octaves below middle C. Lever changes are noted throughout, pedal harps adjust accordingly, with chords added for improvisation.
I hope you enjoy playing these pieces. As always, music is in the ear and heart of the performer, so feel free to adjust rhythms and improvise, as that would have been the practice of the day.
The Pastoral Symphony arrangement is 4 pages in the key of C. There are ten B, F, and G lever or pedal changes within the music. Some of them are very quick.
The Harp Concerto arrangement is 2 pages in the key of C. There are no lever or pedal changes needed.
Neither arrangement includes fingerings.
