Those Who Dream PDF Download by Douglas Beck

For lever or pedal harp.

Here is how Douglas Beck describes his original composition.

My inspiration for 'Those Who Dream' comes from the first verse of Psalm 126 and a medieval church piece called Peregrinus, meaning "wandering tune" in English.

The first verse of Psalm 126 reads, "When God restored the fortunes of Zion, then were we like those who dream." This statement reminds me of God's promise that He will restore all things according to His original purpose one day.

Peregrinus is a piece of liturgical music that adapts to Mass and Psalm texts for use in worship. It is in the Dorian mode, evoking moods ranging from nostalgia to hope. It is both soothing and uplifting, fostering spiritual and physical healing. For these reasons, it is well-suited to Psalm 126.

This piece pairs nicely with my arrangement of J.S. Bach's God's Time is Best for those considering program ideas.

The music is at an early-advanced level and is playable on harps with 34 or more strings. The PDF includes three pages of music, well laid out and easy to read. The key signature is one sharp, and there are no lever changes. Fingerings are not included.
