Item #p6797

For lever or pedal harp.

Whispering Hope was composed in 1868 by Septimus Winner, using the pseudonym Alice Hawthorne. This beloved hymn has meaningful words of comfort including its chorus, "Whispering hope, oh how welcome thy voice, Making my heart in its sorrow rejoice," but its recognizable melody can easily be a source of comfort on its own for those who are familiar the hymn. It is suitable for church services, weddings, and funerals. Angi Bemiss' arrangement of this lovely hymn is for intermediate harp players. Chord symbols and three verses of lyrics are included, but no fingerings. No lever changes are required.

Angi's unique PDF music layout gives you 2 versions of the same piece: a 2-page "Key of C" version, and a 2-page "Key of E-flat" version (in 3 flats). Since you get BOTH the C and E-flat versions, you'll have a perfect arrangement, no matter which way you tune your lever harp!
