Debbie teaches private lessons for children and adults at her studio, as well as at the homes of local students No previous musical training is required. She has lever harps for rent to her students. Debbie specializes in classical and Celtic music, and also teaches arranging, orchestral, pop, rock and roll, and folk music. She offers recitals and harp circles. She has a Bachelor of Music from Eastman School of Music, and a Masters of Music from Yale. She studied with Eileen Malone and Gloria Agostini, and has been teaching since 1989.

Haley teaches private lessons for children and adults at her studio in Manchester, CT. She also teaches through Skype. No previous musical training is required. Haley specializes in Celtic and folk music, and also teaches composition, arranging, improvisation, and classical music. She offers harp ensembles and harp circles for her students. She has a Bachelor's of Music in Pedal Harp Performance and a Master's in Scottish Music. She has been teaching since 2001.

Zoe teaches children and adults Online (Skype) and in her West Hartford studio. She provides lessons in harp, singing, piano, music theory, arranging, composition, and accompanying. A prize-winning graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she was named to the Roster of the CT Commission on Culture and Tourism in 2011, and in 2014, she enjoyed her operatic debut in Carnegie Hall as First Place Winner of the B. Alexander International Vocal Competition. Ms. Vandermeer has performed and given workshops at the Sao Paulo International Harp Festival, American Harp Society Summer Institute, Somerset Harp Festival, HarpCon2003, Bloomington Early Music Festival, International Festival de Deia Spain, and elsewhere. She is a recipient of the 2020 CT Office of the Arts grant, the Hartt School Faculty Development Fund, Dame Joan Sutherland Fund, MTNA Foundation Grant Fund, and many others. A performing and recording artist, she is a member of the American Harp Society and the New York Singing Teachers Association.

Megan teaches private lessons for children and adults at her studio, as well as at Connecticut College, Wesleyan University and the University of Connecticut. She also teaches through Skype. No previous musical training is required. She has lever harps for rent to her students. Megan teaches all music styles, specializing in classical and orchestral music. She offers recitals, extra classes, and performance opportunities for her students. She has a BM in Harp Performance from Eastman School of Music, and an MA from New York University. She has studied with Kathleen Bride, Emily Mitchell, Joann Turovsky, Kim Delibero, and Mary Beckman. She has been teaching since 1997, and also teaches in Spanish.

Wendy teaches private lessons for children and adults at her studio, online, and at Sacred Heart University. No previous musical training is required. She has lever harps and pedal harps for rent to her students and one in her studio so you don't have to bring a harp to lessons. Wendy received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Harp Performance from Juilliard, where she studied with Susann McDonald, and is excited to pass that training on to you. Wendy is also the founder and Director of the Elyrica Summer Harp Program, now in its 24th year. She also teaches composition and arranging, and most musical styles. She offers recitals and harp ensembles for her students throughout the year and many of her students play in local youth orchestras and school ensembles for which she often helps arrange appropriate harp parts.

Lisa teaches private lessons for children and adults at her studio and at the Treetops Performance Studio, as well as through FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom. No previous musical training is required. Lisa teaches classical, orchestral, modern, therapy, and religious music. She offers recitals, harp ensembles, and harp circles for her students, as well as many performance and extra seminar activities. Lisa has a Master of Fine Arts degree and is Suzuki certified. She has studied with Beverly Myrow, Kathy Kienzle, Nancy Allen, Isabelle Perrin, Mary Kay Waddington, Gillian Bennett, and Stacey Shames. Lisa has been teaching since 2000.

"My approach is geared individually towards each student. I try to break issues down to the smallest components, and teach with kindness and understanding. By performing regular solo concerts for Music in The Woods, I am able to keep my technical and creative skills at the highest level and can instill that in my teaching."
