Arm warmers are eminently practical whether you are practicing or performing. One subtle rib on either side of the lace panel makes for a tailored fit so the Arm warmers cling to your arms without getting in the way of your fingers. All shaping is worked in the plain area, so the elegant lace patterning stays the same for the length of the piece.

The 2-page PDF for the arm warmers includes instructions for three Lengths: Short Forearm, Long Forearm, Opera Length. Sizes range from Woman's XS (to fit 6" wrist, 9" upper arm) to Woman's XL (to fit 10" wrist, 13" upper arm). shawl and arm warmersA schematic drawing shows measurements for all sizes. Our photos show womens' size small, opera length.

Instructions for leaf lace are provided in both written and charted form.

The arm warmers shown here were completed with less than 1 skein per pair of Knit Picks Gloss Lace, colorways "Aegean" and "Sterling." (70% merino wool / 30% silk, 440 yd / 402 meters.)

Although there are no harps on them, these arm warmers coordinate nicely with Caroline's Octavia's Garlands Shawl with the harp motif. (See photo at left.) Three skeins of Gloss Lace yarn are enough for both patterns.
