Anna Thormahlen Jenkins
Anna began her musical journey as a young child in Kirkland, Washington when her parents purchased a 1920s-era player piano. Singing while watching the words roll by, creating neighborhood musical plays, and piano lessons soon followed. After completing her degree in music at Washington State University, Anna taught high school choral music and elementary school general music in Washington and Oregon. In 2001, she discovered the Celtic harp. As a Certified Music Practitioner, Anna traveled throughout the Seattle area playing for hospice patients in a variety of settings. In 2004, Anna co-founded the Eastside Harp Circle, a group of 20+ harpers who still meet and play music monthly and occasionally perform together. Her musical arrangements have been published in the Folk Harp Journal.
