Jesse teaches private lessons for children and adults at her studio, at a music store, and through Skype. She teaches lever harp, cross-strung harp, and double-strung harp. No previous musical training is required. Jesse teaches pop, rock & roll, Celtic, folk, and early music as well as composition, arranging, improvisation and music theory. She also offers a harp ensemble for her students. She studied with Cheryl Ann Fulton, Chris Caswell, and Park Stickney, and was on the harp faculty at Community Music School of Santa Cruz. She has been teaching since 1999. Jesse teaches in New Orleans from fall through spring, and in Santa Cruz, California in the summer.

Besides teaching in English, she also teaches in French. She has a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Purchase College SUNY and a Master's of Music from Yale University. She studied with Marcel Grandjany, Gloria Agostini, Dorothy Remsen, and Jane Weidensaul, and has been teaching since 1980.
