Zoe Vandermeer teaches beginning to advanced levels of lever harp and historical harp for ages 8 to adult. Lessons are available online (zoom), and in person in both West Hartford and Vernon, Connecticut. In addition to individual lessons, Ms. Vandermeer provides both online and in person workshops and ensemble opportunities. Students learn techniques, musicianship skills, and repertoire ranging from Celtic, to classical, baroque, new age, world, folk, and more! Interested students can also take lessons in music theory, arranging, composing, improvisation skills, the art of accompanying singers and instrumentalists, and baroque continuo practices. All lessons are tailored to the student's pace, learning style, and musical preferences. In addition to teaching harp, Ms. Vandermeer teaches singing and how to effectively self-accompany singing on the harp.

Wendy received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Harp Performance from Juilliard, where she studied with Susann McDonald, and is excited to pass that training on to you. Wendy is also the founder and Director of the Elyrica Summer Harp Program, now in its 24th year. She also teaches composition and arranging, and most musical styles. She offers recitals and harp ensembles for her students throughout the year and many of her students play in local youth orchestras and school ensembles for which she often helps arrange appropriate harp parts.
