Rita studied with Alice Chalifoux, Patricia Pence Sokoloff, and Lucille Lawrence. She has BM and MM degrees and is Suzuki I certified. She has been teaching since 1992.

"My music teacher studied pedal harp with Marcel Grandjany in New York City. I played with the Celtic Coyote folk band for two years which was an incredible learning opportunity -- they were all my teachers.
Lessons are based on your goals and interests. We will start where you are learning beautiful simple pieces as you learn correct technique. Lessons include painless theory. playing by ear, reading music, and improvising. With a good foundation you can go as far as you'd like."

She requires parents of young students to learn tuning and basic harp maintenance until the student is ready to take on the responsibility. Jeannie holds a B.Music Education from Butler University and M.Music from the New England Conservatory. She studied with Liz Cifani, Eddie Druzinski, and Bernard Zhigera.
