Here is how Kathleen Blackwell-Plank describes her Lullabies for Heart's Ease collections:
Lullabies are the intimate music of the home found in cultures throughout the world. These comforting songs establish a safe place and serve as a sleep aid. They call forth memories of multiple generations. Lullabies are portable. Like prayers or beloved stories, we can take them with us. For refugees they can reestablish a sense of home. My "Lullabies for Heart's Ease" collections offer the opportunity to travel the world and experience the beauty of lullabies. These arrangements explore the unique and beautiful tonal qualities of the harp.

Kathleen has made intermediate arrangements for lever or pedal harp of three Ukrainian lullabies.

Gray Cat (Kotyku Sirenkyi) in G minor (2-flats) uses occasional rolled chords and left-hand harmonics.

In the Christmas lullaby, Sleep, Jesus, Sleep (Spy, Isuse, Spy) in D minor (1-flat), Mary sings baby Jesus to sleep as she rocks him in her arms. No lyrics are provided in this arrangement which uses occasional rolled chords and left-hand harmonics.

The Dream Passes by the Window (Oy Khodyt Son Kolo Vikon) is a sleep song in E minor (1-sharp) that uses occasional harmonics. George Gershwin was said to have been influenced by this lullaby which he heard performed at Carnegie Hall in 1929 by the Ukrainian National Chorus. The opening motif of Gershwin's Summertime is reminiscent of the beginning of the lullaby. This arrangement has chord symbols, meter changes and uses occasional left-hand harmonics. Lyrics in Ukrainian and English are provided.
