For lever or pedal harp.

These five beautiful Hawaiian compositions by Elithe Kahn are for advanced beginner to intermediate lever or pedal harpists. This lovely collection also includes Elithe's arrangement of Pūpū Hinuhinu (Shiny Seashell), a composition by well-known Hawaiian composer Helen Desha Beamer. Collaborating harpist Pumehana Davis Wadsworth and harp arranger Paul Hurst assisted Elithe with this project.

Each song is 2 or 3 pages long, plus a fascinating additional page of information about Hawaiian culture or history. The Hawaiian or English lyrics are written in the music. The melody is also played by the harp, so a singer is not mandatory. The keys range from C through 3 sharps, with no lever changes needed within the pieces. Fingerings are not included.

What do harpists in Ireland and Hawai'i have in common? They both engage in music and fascinating stories that tweak the imagination. The bards of Ireland and the Moʻolelo storytellers of Hawai'i are kindred spirits, magically captivating the listener with music and intriguing stories skillfully composed to linger in the heart and mind for a lifetime. Beginners and advanced Harpists will truly enjoy the simplicity of each composition. Six easy music pieces to play combined with romantic legends seeped in island traditions.
