The Water is Wide arranged by Angi Bemiss PDF Download

Item #p6796

For lever or pedal harp.

"The Water Is Wide" is known in Scotland and England as "O Waly, Waly." When the song made its way to America, it changed its name and became a "traditional American" tune. Angi Bemiss based her intermediate harp arrangement on a guitar version by Ed Gerhard. The time signature alternates occasionally between 4/4 and 6/4 time. The "Key of C" version has an A# lever change, and the lever change in the "Key of E-flat" version is a C#. Chord symbols are included, but no fingerings.

Angi's unique PDF music layout gives you 2 versions of the same piece: a 2-page "Key of C" version, and a 2-page "Key of E-flat" version (in 3 flats). Since you get BOTH the C and E-flat versions, you'll have a perfect arrangement, no matter which way you tune your lever harp!
